New Horror-Musical Cabaret BRIDE in Development

An intimate and haunting new musical by award-winning composer, lyricist, and playwright B. R. Kreep

A darkly enchanting new musical cabaret is rising from the shadows. BRIDE, an original horror-musical by acclaimed composer, lyricist, and playwright B. R. Kreep, is currently in development for the stage.

Part biography, part confession, and part gothic fever dream, BRIDE tells the untold story of Dracula’s immortal companion—the woman history forgot, but who has stood beside the infamous Count for centuries. Through music, storytelling, and startling revelations, audiences are invited into the secret world of the vampire’s bride as she shares intimate anecdotes, shocking truths, and long-buried memories from her extraordinary existence.

Presented in the tradition of classic European cabaret, BRIDE combines dark humor, romance, horror, and theatrical spectacle into an unforgettable evening of song and storytelling. The production will star Amy McKenzie in the title role and is directed by R. O’Donnell.

The creative team is currently in discussions with several distinguished Broadway and Off-Broadway artists and award-winning collaborators as development continues. Additional casting and creative announcements will be made in the coming months.

Written under the pen name B. R. Kreep, BRIDE features a book, music, and lyrics by multiple ASCAP Award-winning composer R. O’Donnell. The production offers an intimate theatrical experience centered on the Bride and her three bloodthirsty daughters, creating a rich multicultural tapestry of characters whose stories span continents, centuries, and cultures.

Combining gothic romance, cabaret tradition, and contemporary musical storytelling, BRIDE promises to offer a fresh and provocative perspective on one of literature’s most enduring legends.
